Assassin’s Creed Revelations demo coming next month

Ubisoft announced Wednesday that they would offer a multiplayer beta for Assassins Creed: Revelations for a limited time next month.  The upcoming game wowed gamers at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles, a couple of months ago, with the enhancements to the multiplayer.  It will be available to Playstation Plus subscribers and “select” U play members.  What “select” means, we will have to wait and see.  Uplay is Ubisoft’s anti-piracy and ant-used game online service that rewards points and extras for registering and playing Ubisoft games.  Ubisoft has promised a new website dedicated to the beta launching September 3rd.

Ubi Gabe aka Gabe Graziani, posted the following about the upcoming beta, on the Assassin’s Creed webpage:

From September 3rd 2011, the BETA will be open for PlayStation Plus and Select Uplay members, and will run until September 11th. Here’s a quick glimpse of some of the things you can expect to experience in the ACR BETA. A much more detailed list will soon be available on a special BETA web page.

Nine characters are available in the BETA, and all can be used right from the outset. They share the same overall behaviour, but their animations differ and their ability sets are completely customisable. Available characters include: The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster and The Champion.
There are three maps to play in the BETA, all available from the outset. Pay attention to the map layouts because they’ve been fine tuned to allow you to play in a more strategic way than the maps in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. For example, it’s now easier to break line of sight. The three maps are…Knight’s Hospital, Antioch and Constantinople
There are four game modes to play in the BETA, all available at the start. Two of the modes are fan-favourites from Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, while the other two are brand new modes designed in response to player feedback. Available modes include, Wanted, Manhunt, Deathmatch (NEW), and Artefact Assault (NEW).

Eight abilities are available in the BETA, but only some of them are usable from the outset. Others must be unlocked by increasing your rank. Although some of the abilities return from Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, you may notice some slight tweaks based on feedback given to us by the fans. Available abilities include: Tripwire Bomb (NEW), Closure (NEW), Disguise, Fire Crackers, Throwing Knives, Smoke Bomb, Poison and Morph. We look forward to meeting you, and hopefully hunting you down a bunch of times on PS3… Watch your backs!
