Dragon Age II: Mark of the Assassin coming next month

Western RPG fans will be excited to know DLC for Dragon Age II called Mark of the Assassin has been announced by Bioware today.  In the new DLC Hawke meets a mysterious female Elvin Assassin (Rogue) Tallis, played by Los Angeles resident and The Guild star, Felicia Day.  In this gripping new story, you must infiltrate a baron’s Orlesian estate, outside Kirkwall and steal a precious relic.  Along the way, you will uncover an array of impressive weapons and equipment, and confront fearsome and challenging new enemies on your journey to claim the Heart of the Many.

Felicia Day is also starring in an all-new six-part web series is based in the Dragon Age universe. Dragon Age: Redemption is set in the same time period as BioWare’s Dragon Age II.  “I’m a huge Dragon Age fan, and I have been looking for a follow up project to The Guild for quite some time,” said Day. “I was thrilled when the opportunity to work with BioWare materialized. Dragon Age: Redemption allows me to tell a fantasy story in a new way, using a universe I really love. It has been a dream working together.”

In Dragon Age: Redemption, Day stars as Tallis, the same character she plays in the upcoming DLC.  Tallis is an Elven assassin hired by the Qunari to capture a rogue mage intent on wreaking havoc throughout the world.  It remains to be seen how much of Redemption’s story will be interwoven with Mark of the Assassin.  Mark of the Assassin is coming October 11, 2011 and features new items, enemies and environments.  It will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on Oct. 11th for $10 or 800 Microsoft points.
