Disgaea 4 updates strategy role playing games

NIS was one of the few console software developers at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles, last month.  In addition to offering everything Prinny and showing off the surprisingly fun Bleach: Soul Resurreccion game, they also had the newest in their line of iconic Strategy Role-playing games, Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten.  The Disgaea series sets the standard in tactics styled turn based role-playing games, the knock against the last game was the last-gen graphics that seemed out of place on the Playstation 3.  Luckily, NIS has addressed the issue and improved the gameplay to bring the series fully into this generation .

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten promises major graphical improvements, including support for 1080p resolution and the most in depth gameplay and great value.  This new Playstation 3 exclusive features a map generating mode enabling players to create and share custom maps and even design their own pirate ship.   Disgaea 4 will also feature extra characters and chapters, for this already massive game with a level cap of 9999, available as DLC.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten will be out September 6th, in a standard and collector’s edition for $49.99 and $59.99 respectively.  Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten Premium Edition includes a collectible game box, soft cover art book with detailed character profiles, concept art, and story information and an exclusive figurine of Fuka.  Those that preorder at their local Gamestop will be able to download Fallen Angel Flonne as a playable character.  Strategy RPG fans will have a hard time finding a better value for their money.
