Fallout 4: Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide Collector’s Edition Book Review

Fallout 4, Survival Guide, Collector’s Edition“Fallout 4” is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2015. Now that the post-apocalyptic role playing game is released, everyone can see how much content Bethesda managed to pack into the title. Luckily, Prima Games can offer some help. The “Fallout 4: Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide Collector’s Edition” includes over 500 pages of information to help you survive the Boston wasteland. With the game changing additions to “Fallout 4,” even “Fallout” veterans can benefit from the new guide book.

“Fallout 4” introduces a new, more comprehensive crafting system, in addition to a new settlement building mechanic. Every item and individual component is covered in the guide, along with how to get to get along with the 13 different companions that you can travel with. Of course, every mission and mission is also covered throughout the four different groups that you can ally with. This is by far the most content packed role playing game yet, and the guide has it all covered. While some of the directions do lack a bit of detail found in other guides, what is there should be sufficient to help you out when you need it.

The hard cover “Collector’s Edition” is 543 color pages and includes an exclusive map of the Commonwealth that highlights important points of interest, valuable resources, and essential locations. There is also a poster pack with seven frame-able eight by ten S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attribute cards, in a Vault Tec envelope. In addition to the physical bonuses that the hard cover edition offers, there is also a download code for a free eGuide with interactive maps. This is however a limited edition and is unlikely to available for long after release.

If you’re unable to obtain the “Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide Collector’s Edition,” the “Prima Official Game Guide” contains all of the same essential information, and boasts the same overall page count. If there was a game that you needed guide for, Fallout 4 is it. Even veterans will have a hard time remembering which items contain all of the individual components needed for crafting or where to find each of the new characters the game introduces.
