Now that Disneyland has wrapped up the holidays and the Haunted Mansion is no longer Nightmare Before Christmas themed and the L.A.C.M.A. exhibit is over, fans of the highly stylized Tim Burton film can look to the DLC pack available for Disney Universe. Inspired by his iconic film, The Nightmare Before Christmas level in Disney Universe, allows players to experience Halloween Town firsthand. This new piece of DLC is surprisingly well suited for the co-op adventure.
Gamers will be able suit up initially as Jack Skellington, Sally or Doctor Finklestein. Oogie Boogie and the Mayor of Halloween Town are unlockable costumes acquired as you journey through various spooky settings, lighting the way with special pumpkin lanterns, avoiding enemy attacks from Christmas crackers and transforming tombstones into Christmas presents. Players will ride new vehicles and clear areas of hazardous fog, all in an effort to defeat the Oogie Boogie.
Now available for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC, Disney Universe offers a four-person co-op multiplayer action experience, with frenzied gameplay that appeals to players of all ages. The Nightmare Before Christmas level joins other great Disney Universe environments, such as WALL-E, Monsters Inc., Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland, Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as the levels based on Academy Award winning classics, The Lion King and Aladdin.
Disney Universe features 45 classic and contemporary iconic character costumes, including ones inspired by Sam Flynn, Quorra and Clu from Tron, Baloo (The Jungle Book), Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Sulley (Monsters, Inc.), Nemo (Finding Nemo) and almost every little girl’s favorite Pixie, Tinker Bell (Peter Pan). Dozens of other character costumes are also included in the game, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck with even more available for purchase. The NBC add-on is a bargain at its price of approximately $5 or 400 Microsoft points.

This video game looks so cute and kid friendly. My kids have been bugging me to get it for them; I just don’t want to spend a ton of money on a game that will only be played for a short time. Luckily Blockbuster Movie Pass is available to me. Since I have been employed at DISH, BBMP is a great package for my family. We get the latest and greatest movies and video games mailed to our home. We love our family bonding time.
DLC like this is offered as an incentive to keep games and extend the entertainment dollar.
